The First Friday celebrations in Kansas City, Missouri have returned and the Fourth Friday celebrations have returned in Olathe, Kansas. If you attend either of these, you will be so impressed with our great community.
I think they both offer a taste of everything great in our local area. Both of the outdoor events offer live music, food of all varieties and many businesses stay open beyond their normal business hours. You might even find a "pop up" party on the streets sponsored by one of the local businesses. Both events are like a big block party. Kansas City is a family friendly community and you will find kids, parents and grandparents at both events.
If you attend First Fridays in Kansas City and you love gourmet chocolate, you must visit Christopher Elbow Chocolates. They often have specials and you might find chocolates for $1.00 a piece. A great bargain!
The best thing about the Friday events is that they both support Kansas City based local businesses which is what our community is all about. Let's keep our community unique and interesting for everyone by showing our support.
Summer is often the time of year when people move. If you ever find that you want to move to another neighborhood in the Kansas City area, please support a local moving company and instead of buying cardboard boxes consider renting plastic bins for your move.
bins4moves is a locally owned business that will deliver plastic bins to you and pick them up after you move. Dollies and inserts to protect plates and cups are also available. What could be easier!
Hope to see you at one of the upcoming Friday events.
